Random Things 3

Over the past couple of days I have realized something about Phil and Roger. They are the kind of guys who like to take their time and not rush. The other day they were both playing chess, but Roger was so intensely concentrated on the game, he spent hours thinking of the perfect move to start the game off with. Phil just sat there quietly being patient. Unfortunately they never got to start the game because the dog knocked the table over, ruining Roger's concentation. I've scheduled them a rematch for next week.

Things that bug me

Kids who are fat, spoiled and do nothing but play video games. Nothing can iritate me more than stuff like this. Their are seven year olds with iphones and tablets and don't ever go outside. When I was their age I didn't have an iphone or anything like that( I still don't) I went to this amazing place called "outside." I had to get a new pair of shoes from walmart every two weeks. That's how bad I used to tear them up from being outside. I don't even think I owned more than 2 pairs of jeans that didn't have holes or grass stains all over them. The society today is ridiculous.

Random Things

The other day Phil almost drowned in the toilet. I didn’t notice at first, but the expression on Roger's face told me that something was wrong. Phil was nowhere in sight. There was a sound in the bathroom and I got the clue of what might've happened. I ran into the bathroom, and there he was. At the bottom of the toilet sat Phil fighting for his life. I snatched him up out of the water. That day Roger saved his best friends life. We are just lucky that Phil can hold his breath well.

In loving memory of Rodriguez. RIP

Random Things

I have a pet rock named Phil. Phil has a best friend named Roger. Roger is a stick. Phil and Roger are pretty nice guys, because they never do anything mean. Phil and Roger also are very lazy. All that they do is sit around and watch tv, but they do keep me company. Phil and Roger are the most forgiving people I have ever met. One time I dropped Rogers cousin out the window. I gave him a parachute, but it didn't open in time. His name was Rodriguez, he was an egg.

Kid Nation 7

The kids are more hardworking than ever. They have deviance. They have done a pretty good job adapting to the towns new norms. Not too many approvements need to be made. The town is going pretty good.

Social control is effecting everybody too. Which is a good thing. It's good because everybody has to change in order to run their town. Some of the council leaders are even a little worried that the kids are changing too much. They are afraid that the little kids are working too hard.

Positive deviance is the best thing about the town. Most of the kids are improving only for the best. Positive deviance is one of the most important things when it comes to making the town succeed. It had to be done. So far the town isn't disappointing.

Kid Nation 6

The town has improved alot since their first day. The key to create a nation of kids, is cooperation. There is no possible way that the town will function if the kids can't work together. Fortunately, a majority of the kids aren't doing too bad of a job, but there are a few kids still need to come together and do their part. Eventually, I do think that the town will become a hardworking functioning society.

Taylor, a girl in the yellow district needs conformity. She needs to change and improve, because she is not doing her share of work. In the first few episodes Greg was the one who needed the most improvements. Since the first episode, he is the most improved citizen of the town. If Greg can do it, so can Taylor.

The town council has been more involved with groupthinking. They have been making the important decisions based on the towns opinion. That way the town can agree on the way it is ran. If they agree on the way the town is ran, they will be more involved in making the the town a better society. So far Bananza City is doing a good job in succeeding.

Kid nation 5

The leaders are participating more as a group as the town progresses. They are going through relections. They need relections in the yellow team, but not really anywhere else. I think that the blue team really needs to keep their leader, because his candidate is just trying to be the leader to be a jerk to him. She is just trying to be mean to Anjay.

Their is going to be alot of conflict if nobody will listen to their leaders. But right now if anyone deserves the gold star it's Zack or Greg. Greg is very hardworking and probably is the hardest working one. He is also the best improved since day one. And Zack has good leadership

That is why it is a good thing that Greg won the gold star he deserves it. He has really earned his spot in the social category. It is also a good thing that Anjay stays the leader. Mike lost the elections, which is bad because he was a good leader. It was a good that Zach won because he has major leader quality.

Kid Nation 4

The town council has an obligation to keep the town under control. But they are still struggling to do so. Right now they want to do a religous service, but nobody wants to attend. Almost all people are against it, because they think that it will cause conflict.
The town needs social solidarity. They need to be able to withstand obstacles. They need to be a strong solid community. That way they will last and will not fall apart.
All of the teams are pretty good with social interaction. They all get along with eachother. But the yellow team is probably the worst and laziest team in the town. They do no work at all, but they get paid the most. That's not very fair. They really don't desrve to be the cooks.

The Poorest President

The poorest president only makes $2,500 then that means that he is the president in a very poor country. He also is an extremely generous president since he donates 90% of his salary to charity. That would probably make him not the poorest, but the best president on Earth, you know a president who actually cares about the poor people.

I'm Bored

Boredom is a natural thing. It usually corrisponds with school. It is not a pleasant feeling at all. It is a feeling that tells your mind that what you are currently doing is not satisfying at all. I am currently bored. Just sitting in front of a computer typing a free blog post. You know a good movie? Frozen. you know what I have to do for the next twenty minutes? Type on a timed typing test, so much fun!(so much sarcasm!) I am bored.

Kid Nation 3

Everybody is still dealing with desocialization. They all need to let go their old norms. There life now is nothing like what it was at home. They can't expect to live the way that they used to and still survive in their new town. They need to forget their old life and for the meantime focus on making their town work.

Along with that they are also going through resocialization. The process of adapting to new norms. This is something that has to be done in order to make their town work. Most of them seem like they are doing their best to do this. Right now they are adapting and they aren't doing a bad job.

The town still has to work on one major problem.Socialization. They need to work on teamwork and cooperation. That is what this town depends on. There is no way that the town will run without it. They are doing an overall pretty good job in adapting and working together, so they aren't doing a bad job.

Kid Nation 1

Kid Nation is a reality tv show that's about 40 kids who are left in a desert ghost town and are expected to survive and build a civilization on their own. Unfortunately their "civilization" is full of disfunction. The first week everyone was getting into fights and there was no control at all.

The council is supposed to have power over the town, but there are kids older than the kids on the council, and the older kids think that their decisions overules the councils, so I think that the town should have a disiplin system, so that the council can actually be a council and take power and run the town.

Also the proletariats need to acually live up to their job. For example: the yellow team wanted to cook the food, so they got to work in the kitchens and cook, but that job also comes with a dirty side, dishes. If the yellow team doesn't want to do the dishes, they shouldn't be in the kitchens. Honestly if anyone deserves to be in  the kitchens, it's green. Sophia a girl who is on the green team, totally deserved the gold star, because she worked the hardest all week, like making sure the food got cooked even whenever it wasn't her responsibility.

Kid Nation 2

Their society is still going pretty rough in their second week. They are running out of meat and their debating wether to kill the chickens or not, but in the end they do end up killing the chickens which I think was their best choice to make. It's also good that they are taking town votes, that way they can maintain their society.

I think that the town council should inforce laws, so that they can have informal sanctions as well as formal sanctions like the gold star reward. That way if someone does something bad or even taboo, they can be punished. They can create laws and the town could become more of an actual society and less of just a group of kids left in the desert to survive. Even though I don't think that anything too serious will happen.

Aside from actual laws. They need Norms and morals. They are less serious than laws and they are needed more than they should have laws. I think this because I don't think anything too serious will ever happen.

Crystal City Underground

Crystal City Underground used to be an old sand mine all the way back in the 1800's to around the 1980's.
Now it is a place to play disk golf, drink, play sand volleyball, even go on a barge ride, and etc.

Dear Mrs. Debolt,
I'm Eli, there's not alot to know about me, but I'm going to tell you what there is to know.
I'm 13 years old. I have three brothers. My parents are divorced. I am living with both parents in two different houses with a scedule to where I spend an even amount of time in both houses each week. My mom is moving to Illinois and getting married and I'm moving in with my dad full time, so I can go to school here with my friends and family. I have a cat at my mom's house named Romeo, and a pitbull at my dad's house named Lacey. My mom is a nurse at Mercey hospital, and my dad works at Crystal City Underground.

I like to do alot of different things. During the summer I ride my bike pretty much everywhere I can. I like to be around my dad. I love the Cardinals of course! I like hanging out with my friends and my cousin. My family goes before anything in my life, and I would be abnormal if I did't like video games and allnighters.
If anything I would prefer being outside, and if I could do anything right now it would be to go to Crystal City Cave.
I have ADD, so I have a hard time paying attention and staying on task. I daydream alot too. It annoys me just about as much as it annoys the teachers, so if You get annoyed at me for not paying attention, Your not alone. That's pretty much all I'm willing to say, so now would be a good time to stop typing.

Do video games make kids more violent?

Yes, I do think that video games can make kids think and act a little more violent. Some kids tend to look up to video game characters, and everyone wants to be like their role model, so they try acting like some kind of unrealistic action/adventure character. So, I do think that they can get violent.

Kid Nation

40 kids are sent out to a old pioneer town and are needing to survive for 40 days. I think that this child abuse. They probably cant cook their own food yet. There is a town council which gives a gold star to a kid that is working the hardestst and is worth $20,000. The kids are fighting each other and are not working on surviving. When they fight its about food and the council isn't enforcing the rules of how many of one thing someone can have. The group split up into 4 groups. They have jobs and a currency ... really why would you need a currency while surviving. They are playing a game to position kids to their jobs. The prize was more outhouses or a tv.  They chose the outhouses. In the meetings they give out a gold star and it is a chance for anyone to go home.

What cars to fancy

picture from here
What people are doing now a days is just going onto carsoup.com and buying the nicest car there. Well that photo could be a fake. So that's why I am going to a car dealership to see the full car, interior, max MPH, MPG, and to see what colors are available. The people on the internet use photo shop to make their cars look better.

What is special !?!

The U.S. believes that everyone has the right to be special. Well what they should think of is if everyone were special, then no one would really be special. Now what is SPECIAL? Special is just  one person meaning more than another ,but is one person really more important than another.

Thinking of Careers

Picture from Here
Have you ever thought of what your job would be in the future. If you have then you have probably thought of being a cop or an astronaut. Well I am thinking about being an Architect. What I would be doing would be designing things from bridges to skyscrapers.

7 Doors 7places

I would choose door #3 ,because the #3 is my favorite number. Behind door 3 I hope that there is the place "Middle Earth". I would want Middle Earth because it is home to my most favorite movie of all time, The Lord of the Rings, and my favorite book series. In Middle Earth ,according to the books and movies, there are so many places to visit and see. Also in Middle Earth are my favorite charecters from the books and movies.

Teen Years Forgotten

Many adults have forgotten the time when they were a kid or a teen. These adults have forgotten being a kid because they have new responsibilities to pay attention to. Some examples are kids and others are their work or job so they can make money and get clothes and food for their family. Now, I won't forget being a teen because so much has happened.

Things todo This Summer

Picture from Here
In Kansas City, MO, this summer there will be the largest water slide in the world built. The new attraction is called Verrückt. Verrückt is a German word meaning insane. This new ride is fourteen stories tall. The idea for Verrückt was made by Jeff Henry ,which co owns the park at which the ride will be built. Jeff Henry is also known as The Wizard of Water.

  1. The Verrückt is a waterslide.
  2. It is 2 stories taller and goes more than 65mph.
  3. Jeff is The Wizard of Water since he designed 4 water rides and got them built.
  4. I wouldn't, because I have been on a 10 story waterslide and adding another 4 would make me even sicker.

Micro Windmills ?

These microscopic windmills are bringing a new way to charge your smart phone, or even your house. The tiny windmill idea was generated by Professor  Jung-Chih Chiao and his associate Smitha Rao. The wind mills are made from an Nickel Alloy Wafer. In these wafers, there could be  a thousand or so windmills produced. The rotor on the top of the 2mm tower has about a 1.8mm diameter.

  • The  wafer was made with a durable  metal that could withstand anything.
  • After I contemplated the assert on the patent ,I could finally do the arduous task to make a prototype of a flying car that had the harnessing power of the wind.
