I really enjoyed this class. I liked doing the blogs. That was fun. I also liked the PowerPoint ABC`s that was cool too. The thing I didn't like in this class was the typing web. It was boring, but the rest of the class was fun. I always look forward to this class and can`t wait till next year. I really like that we can talk and work. I also like the teacher, Mrs. Debolt. She is understanding and tries her best to make this class fun.I learned alot in this class. I loved every minute of it.

I am so excited for Saturday night. We are going to my Grandmas for an early Christmas. Then we are going to the Arch and then Fitz's Root Beer. After that, we are going ice skating and shopping at the Mills Mall. I can`t wait.

What Lies Ahead

As I came across seven identical doors, I stared at them blankly. Then I heard a voice from above. It told me that behind these seven doors is seven different places. He listed them. I thought for a second and hoped he had listed them in order.I wanted to go to Hogwarts which was the 4th one listed, so I went through the fourth door. On the other side of the door stood a lion who greeted me to Narnia. I became frightened as more creatures greeted me. I turned to go back but when I turned the knob it wouldn't turn. So i realized I was locked in, trapped forever.

One day me and my sister decided to take a walk. After walking for about thirty minutes my puppy got thirsty,so we decided to take a break. We stopped and sat on a park bench near a water fountain. A couple minutes later a man came and sat down by us. He told us he was homeless and he needed some money. My sister gave him a dollar  and he bought a soda. On the walk home he passed us in his car and said he was not really homeless. He said he was just seeing if anyone was generous enough. So he gave my sister twenty dollars to spend on anything we wanted. She thanked him, and the last thing he said before he drove off was that he was proud of us.

When we arrived home after having a lovely dinner at Chili`s we saw that the door was hanging open. My mom screamed at the top of her lungs, burst out of the car, and ran inside to find it empty. There was nothing left. Except one thing, right in the middle of the living room, lied a picture of me and my sisters from my mothers office. We all thought that it was strange, but I knew it was a sign. That whoever robbed us knew who they were robbing. 

Extensions

Lately, I have been watching hair styling videos.I have even made some of my own. I am really getting into hair, but my hair is really short so its hard to do some of the hairstyles. So, my mom is taking me to get extensions soon. I am so exited. The extensions will go down to my lower back. Then i can wear my hair however I want. I am really looking forward to having long hair. My sisters all have long hair and try to play with mine  sometimes  but they say it is too short. Soon my hair will be longer then theirs  they will probably be jealous. Oh well.  

Hosting Thansgiving

For my first Thanksgiving as host, I bought the biggest turkey they had in the store. I bought stuffing, pie, gravy, and bread. I took it up to the cashier, but I didn't have enough money. So, I told him to hold it and i would be right back. I drove to my house, but on the way there I got pulled over. They asked to see my ID, but then i realized I forgot my purse at the store. I told them to follow me to the store so I could get my wallet. By the time I got there they told me they had given my food away, and sold out of turkey. That`s why we all ended up eating hamburgers.

Thanksgiving Break

I am excited for this Thanksgiving break. First, tonight I have to pack for the trip. Second, Wednesday morning me and my step-dad are going to put up the rest of the Christmas lights, while my mom makes potato casserole. Then, we are leaving around 10 to the gas station where we will meet our relatives, and fly to Oklahoma with them. WE will meet my new baby cousin, Ashley and spend the night there. The next day we are leaving to fly to Arkansas to see my grandpa and his new girlfriend Dawn. We will have dinner and stay with them for two days. On Sunday we are coming back home.

The Tooth

When I was 7 I lost my first tooth. I had no idea what was going on. I thought I broke my mouth. I started balling. My mom came in and asked me what was wrong.I told her I broke my mouth and needed CPR right away. She laughed and told me I just lost a tooth and that another one would grow in. I was still a little scared until she told me there was a reward. Then I tried to pull another tooth out by tying it to a string, and tying the string to my door knob. the only reward I got was a fat lip.

One Direction

I am obsessed with One Direction!! I love thier songs!! My favorite is Up All Night. The cutest guy is definitly Niall, but the best singer is Harry Styles. I used to like Liam but he got an ugly haircut, and now he is not as cute. They are all pretty cute though. I got a One Direction CD for my birthday, and i listeed to the whole thing in 20 minutes.  <3

I was home alone for the first time when I was 10. I was watching Glee. I got hungry, so I went upstairs to get a snack. I had a yogurt. Then I got thirsty. So I decided to have a soda. I couldn't find the soda so I called my mom and asked her where it was. she said to check in the garage. I went in the garage, closed the door, and opened up the cooler. I grabbed a Sierra Mist and headed towards the door. The door flew open. I walked inside And heard a crash downstairs. I ran downstairs, but didn't see anything wrong. I heard a crash upstairs. Nothing was wrong. Except I got scared when I saw my dog wining at the door.

Hi,my name is Elizabeth but I go by Lizzie. I am currently 12 years old but I will be 13 on Saturday. I have 3 sisters. The oldest is 17, her name is Rebecca.My two other sisters are both 15. The Trail

This picture reminds me of the railroad tracks by my grandmas house. There is a trail behind her house that takes you into the woods. At the end of the trail there is a big cliff with a bench on top of it. If you sit on the bench then you can see the Mississippi river. If you stand on it and look strait down you can see the railroad tracks, and every once in a while you will be lucky enough to see a train.

Last Night

Last night I went home and did my homework. I had to go to study island and did my pre test. Then I went to my room to do my math homework. My math homework was easy. I went on to do my studying for a test which I thing I passed. Next I went outsideand played.

Award Ceremony

My best friend, Jordynne Brown, and I took the ACT test. We both got very good scores. I got a 20 and Jordynne got a 24. The test is made for high schoolers to take. Only kids with exceptional grades and GPA's are invited to take the test. Anyway, because we got very good scores, we got invited to an award ceremony down at Drury University. We both got a letter in the mail stating that we were invited, and a coupon for a camp that Drury University does. It is for gifted children. Anyway, it said that we would like to inform you  that your child (it was addressed to my parents) has been selected to receive an award at Drury University. I was very honored and my parents were very proud of me. After the awards ceremony there is a tour around the campus. I picked out a very beautiful and professional dress to wear to the ceremony. I'm very excited about the ceremony. Then I'm also very excited about the camp this summer that I will be attending! I do think that my sister will have the same opportunity next year!!

Summer Camp

This summer my best friend, Jordynne Brown, and I were invited to go to a summercamp at Drury University called Summerscape. Summerscape is an educational summer camp for gifted children. The reason Jordynne and I were invited is because we both have excellent GPA's and we both had exceptionally high scores on our ACT test. we discussed the issue with both families and our parents are graciously allowing us to attend. The camp is lasting 11 days, which is the longest we have ever been away from home. We will be staying in the college dorms and will be attending two classes each day. We have selected a "CSI" class which specializes in the study of Forensic Science, and another class entitled "Movie Classics"which specializes in the study of directing and the study of comparing modern day film techniques to old fashioned film techniques. I love the opportunity to go to this exceptional camp because it makes me feel great that I was gifted enough to go. I also would love to go this camp because Iwould like to feel more independent.  I'm also glad I got his opportunity because I like to think my parents are proud of what I have achieved.

The Teachers I Appreciate the Most

I have many teachers that I appreciate. I have three teachers that I appreciate the most though. My first favorite teacher was my 4th grade math teacher, Mr. Kearns. Mr. Kearns was the teacher that got me interested in math again after a horrible 3rd grade year where math was my poor subject. He made math class fun again, and appreciate that more than anything else in the world. Another teacher that I appreciate is my fifth grade teacher Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Brown was a very artsy person and loved drama and plays. I loved being in her class because she loved books and so did I. She came up with great projects such as throwing a meter stick at playground equipment pretending that it was a mammoth. I also love Mrs. Sears my advanced English teacher. I love her because she understands the teenage mind and helps us when we are having those teen drama moments. She is always willing to help also. I have always loved my teachers, but these three were the best a kid could ever have.

Yesterday on my day off I went shopping with my mom, sister, and grandma. My grandma is going on a trip to Europe this summer and wanted some good fashion pieces to bring with her, so she brought us along. While I was there I snagged the opportunity to find a nice dress for my ACT ceremony in May. I looked at lots of stores, but couldn't find anything that I liked. I then went to The Limited and found a gorgeous A-line dress that looked like someone from the 60's designed it. I loved it!! I then looked at the price tag, and almost died. Just kidding of course. I then found a different dress and fell in love all over again!

Helping the Planet

Yesterday was Earth Day. Earth Day is all about helping the planet. Do you help the planet? There are many ways to help save the planet. Some ways include planting new trees after others have been cut down, or even just doing something simple like recycling. Recycling is when you take paper, glass, or aluminum and it is manufactured into other goods. People make purses out of empty juice pouches or they make banners out of maps for a bon voyage party. When you recycle you toss each thing into a large green box with three arrows on the front. Remember to reduce, reuse, and recycle!!

I have one sister by birth. Her name is Stella and she is 12. My best friend is named Jordynne Brown, and I also consider her my big sister. (Only by ten days though!!) I remember meeting her on that first day of preschool....She was one of those kids who loved everyone and anyone. She ran up to me and asked me if I wanted to play barbies in the playhouse. Of course I said yes, because she was kind of pushy and very excited. I believe we have been friends ever since. I was with her when she broke another boy's arm and also the first know, from her, that her baby brothers were born. I consider her family my family and she is the same way with mine. We go everywhere together. We spend almost every weekend together. We have never ever gotten into a fight.  I'm very glad to have a best frind who understands me and my family. I don't think any other kid could process my family. Last weekend my mom, Tracy, Jordynne's mom, Crystal, Jordynne, Stella, and me went up to River City casino and stayed the night. We then went to The Mills Mall and shopped for like, ever. I'm also happy that she has baby brothers. I consider those beautiful baby boys my brothers too.  I couldn't be happier with any other second family!!

If I could go anywhere I want I would go to Rome, Italy. I would love to go to Rome because of the great architecture and magnificent Italian food. Rome is the home of pasta. Rome has many beautiful cathedrals and many other museums. Rome also has a very detailed history. The Roman and Grecian myths are also very interesting. They say that there is a specific god for everything that happens on Earth. For example, Zeus, the god of the sky, is responsible for thunderstorms. Also Poseidon, the god of the sea, is responsible for tsunamis and hurricanes. Most people don't believe in old Roman religion anymore, but it is still a fabulous subject to talk about.

Usually people do things for others so they can get something in return. I, on the other hand, prefer to have self praise as a reward. The definition of self praise is usually given as: giving encouraging words to yourself after you have done something good. My definition of self praise is that feeling inside you when you get the satisfaction of helping someone for nothing in return. Most people have not felt the warm and fuzzy feeling that I am referring to. Most people would ask for a gift, or money, but I would just like the satisfaction of doing something to help the world.

I have been wanting an iPhone for about a year. My parents always said that I was too young to have one. My family is very strict about rules, especially my mother. My mother is a teacher, so her top priority for me and my sister is to get good grades.  My mother and father have very different personalities. My mother is very strict and my father is very laid back. My father usually gives into my pleas but he stuck by my mother's side this time. But i got an iPhone because he finally gave in! My mother wasn't to excited about this, but she finally gave in. My sister gave an uproar to my parents, so then I felt horrible. My parents gave her a lecture and I finally got to use my phone without feeling guilt!

Being Healthy

There are many ways for someone to stay healthy.  A healthy breakfast is very important but there are also many other things that your body needs as well.  You need a good nights sleep. Research shows children from ages 6-18 need at least 8 hours of sleep. Your brain cannot function correctly if it is sleep deprived. Another way to keep your body healthy is to eat many fruits and vegetables. If you eat sweets all the time,  your body will get tired and require more sleep. Eating fruits and vegetables will give you enough energy to survive the school day. You need to wash your hands every time you eat or go to the bathroom. Germs are around you every day. Remember be healthy! 

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the study of how the human body uses a workspace and it's equipment. Same bad habits of mine are having bad posture and resting my wrists. Our work stations in the Technology Room are not ergonomically sound. Our chairs do not support our backs, which decreases the comfort of the spine. Our chairs do not have arm rests that are adjustable. People should sit strait because they will have back pains if they slouch while on the computer. We also do not have sliding boards under the desks to set our arms on causing pain in the elbows and wrists. Because our chairs are not adjustable, some people's feet do not touch the ground as they should. Your eyes need to be aligned with the top of the computer monitor. Our eyes do not line up with the top of the computer monitor because we do not have adjustable chairs. These positions are extremely essential to your body comfort and you should always keep the rules of ergonomics in your works space at all times.

Google Map Image Blurs

   I do believe that in most inappropriate situations blurring images is a necessity.  Although in some situations the need of blurring images is not relevant, such as on the Google Maps website. Many images that Google Maps blurs are historic places and streets in foreign countries. I believe that it is not necessary to blur these places because the United States has pictures of all of these places. Another reason I am against blurring images of historic places on Google Maps is because the owners of Google do not conference with United States citizens for permission to place the owner's house on the Internet for all eyes to view. Google Maps does check with the government for permission to place their historic landmarks on the Internet. Why do United State's citizens not get any say in the matter of their home being put on the Internet for anyone to see if they have a connection to the Internet or a computer? Many people do not have a problem with this small issue until they have come to a deep thought about it or they are in a predicament about the said website with their child being in danger of someone who found them on Google Maps. Images being blurred/unblurred are a great factor in our society and people should be more careful on what is going on the Internet.

Computer Class

In quarter 3 i was in computer class. One thing i liked about this class was the excel project that we had to fill in the cells and find a picture. One thing i learned in this class was how to make a maze, how to fill in cells, and how to make my projects on Word alot more fun. One thing i wish i could've changed was the second part of the excel project where we had to type directions so that the picture they made looked like ours. I didnt like that project that much because when i typed mine and someone remade the picture by following the directions it didnt look the same. I also liked that i got all my work done and how we were able to listen to music, and how Mrs. Mickley came and talk to us about our future.

This photo make me feel confused. The picture was obviously photo shopped because the Eiffel Tower does not look like that. The Eiffel Tower is in Paris, France. It is one of the very many monuments that is visited in France. Over 7 million people visit this beautiful monument each year. While they were building the Eiffel Tower only one person died! The Eiffel Tower was named after the person who came up with the idea of making it. One day i would like to visit the Eiffel Tower and learn more about it. :)

Lightning Bug

Lightning bugs are amazing! They look like little specks of light in the night sky. Have you ever had one land on you? It tickles! When they Land on you they walk all over your hand and it tickles becuase they are not to heavy and not to light! So when you see a lightning bug what do you do? Do you chase after it? Or do you watch it fly and try to keep your eye on where it goes? When i see a lightning bug i sometimes try to catch it. Other times i just let it fly. Some people take off their lights and stick it on the back of their hands... I think that is just plan NASTY! The lightning bug is one of the very few bugs i can handle.

Inspirational Photo

This photo makes me think of houses. When i look at this picture i see a bunch of houses put together. I think of houses because i see windows and door. One thing about this is how would you live in it? It couldn't possible be safe to live in! And how many rooms are in there? How could you live in that? But the photo is a cool piece of work, and who ever made this had alot of time and put in alot of time and effort into building this! When you see this photo what do you think of? I think of a house with alot of kids living there with alot of room and two parentss going crazy! Wouldnt you go crazy if you had alot of kids trying to keep them in line and trying not to tip your house over?

Art

When I think about art I always think paintings. Paintings are so beautiful weather it is splatters of paint on a canvas or a painting of the stars it always has a story. When you paint a picture it should tell a story. Some paintings are funny, some are heart felt, and some can be for learning purposes. When you see a painting you can sometimes feel how the painter was feeling when they were painting the picture. Some are mysterious, some are fun and playful, some can also be spontaneous, some can also tell you that someone was hurt by a heart break. Some paintings can tell you how the day looked. For example if you looked at a World War painting you can tell that it was a dark day for all. So what do you see when you look at other peoples painting?

Manditory P.E.

I don't think physical education should be manditory because some of the kids dont like P.E. We should only have it manditory if you are involved with a school sport. For example if you were to play basketball for the school you would have to take gym,. I also think you could do P.E. if you signed up for it on your classes. Some kids dont like gym because they might not be into shape or just arn't the running type. I think the only time gym should be manditory is in kindergarden through 5th grade. I only think this because when you are smaller you need the physical activity to keep growing instead of being a lazy bum sitting on the couch. This is why i think P.E. should not be manditory.

What I Do On My Free Time...

What i do on my free time is dance, listen to music or hangout with my friends. I always dance. Weather its in the store or at school you will always  find me dancing. The other thing u can find me doing is hanging out with my friends. My friends bring the life out of me. I have the best friends they always have my back no matter what! They always are there for me when i need them the most and i can tell them anything! I also listen to music.. My favorite band is Never Shout Never. I've been to their concert once with my cousin and our friend. I like Never Shout Never because it always has a catchy beat and some people can relate to some of the music and songs.

Everyone Needs Help :)

Everyone needs help even if its help with school work, homework, even adults need help sometimes. I need help with math homework. Parents sometimes need help. If it watching your siblings, chores, or even making dinner. Everyone needs help in one way or another. Their might even be ways that some people need help with that you might think that nobody needs help with. Some people go to loan places, if they needed a loan at one point and when they get the money they can pay it off. In the world right now some people need help keeping their houses, cars, and some need help getting food for their familys. Even some of your family members might need help. The world would be so much more peaceful if we all just helped each other. :)

Giraffe :)

My favorite animal is a giraffe. I like giraffes because they have tall necks. I also like they're fur. They have big and small spots all over their body. I like the design of their fur. It looks cool! They best kinds of giraffes are the baby ones. They are so adorable! I like them also better than the adult giraffes because they are so small and fragile that they can barley walk and they are still so small but later they will grow to be a big and strong adult! That's my favorite animal. :)

A Hang Out Spot

I think that the donor should put up a Performing Art building. I think that if you put up a Performing Arts building that any type of person could come and have fun and be safe. Things to do inside the building could be like a dance studio room, an art room, a music or choir room. etc. This building could be for any one such as athletes, musicians, or singers. This could also be for the artistic people, for the dancing people and for the music lovers. If you put this building up this could be a safe and fun environment fro teens or kids. There could also be a preschool area for the toddlers. This could be a place where the parent has to go somewhere and cant take the kids and could take them here and the kids could have a great time!

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is Alice In Wonderland. Alice In Wonderland is about this girl named Alice and she falls down a rabbit hole trying to chase a rabbit. But when she falls down the rabbit hole everything is turned around. There she finds people that are thinking that she is the wrong Alice . They think she is the wrong Alice because this was all in on of her dreams when she was a little girl. But later then find out that this was the right Alice because she kills a beast called the Jabowakie. The Jabowakie is a creature that belongs to the Red Queen. The Red Queen is her enemy and is the sister of the White Queen. Alice's best friend is the Mad Hatter, and he is really crazy. That is my favorite movie.  :)

My Vacation Spot :)

If i could travel anywhere in the world i would travel to Paris, France. I would like to travel to Paris because i would like to see the Eiffel Tower and see all the beautiful land marks there. I think it would be fun to go to Paris because i would learn a new language and see different types of people. In Paris they have different kinds of food and different kinds of ways then we have. I would love to eat some real Italian food. I would love to go and see all the amazing art work they have in Paris. That is where i would love to travel to. :)

 My favorite show is Adventure Time. This is my favorite show because it is so random. My favorite character is Bemo. Bemo is a little computer or video game. He is always with the two main characters, who are Finn the human and Jake the dog. My least favorite character is the Ice King. He is the king of all ice and snow. He is Finn and Jake's nemesis. The Ice King always is stealing princesses like Princess Bubblegum. Princess Bubblegum is the princess od the candy kingdom in the land of OO. :)
